Effective 4 May 2026, as requested by Foundation Life, the Reserve Bank of New Zealand approved the termination of Foundation Life’s Statutory Fund 2 and cancellation of its licence issued on 26 August 2023 pursuant to section 30(1) of the Act.
Effective 17 June 2026, under section 408(a) of the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013 Act, as requested by Foundation Life, the Financial Markets Authority cancelled Foundation Life’s Financial Institution Licence.
The Financial Service Providers Register (FSPR) has confirmed that Foundation Life was deregistered from 30 June 2026.
The Insurance & Financial Services Ombudsman (IFSO) has confirmed membership was cancelled effective 30 June 2026.
