Foundation Life has completed over 13,000 cash payments totaling over $230 million and representing 86% of total Scheme cash payments to be made.
For those who have yet to provide the required cash payment documentation, we encourage you to act now. We have sent you two follow-up letters, and an e-mail to those for whom we have an e-mail address.
Foundation Life continues to process Scheme cash payments, with over 10,000 payments made to date.
Foundation Life is currently processing all Scheme cash payments for which required documentation has been received.
Foundation Life (FLNZ) is pleased to confirm that the Scheme was successfully implemented on 1 September 2025.
All FLNZ Whole of Life and Endowment policies have now been cancelled. Eligible New Zealand resident policyholders have either chosen or defaulted to one of the following options:
• A replacement life insurance policy with Chubb Life
• A cash payment, which FLNZ is now processing and paying (subject to receipt of the required documentation)
• A combination of the above, with an emphasis on either cash or the replacement life insurance policy
Overseas resident policyholders were only eligible for the cash payment option.
The Choice Period for the scheme of arrangement (Scheme) ended on 14 August 2025. Subject to the Board approving the Sufficient Assets condition, the Scheme will be implemented on 1 September 2025, with all Foundation Life Whole of Life and Endowment policies cancelled at that date.
