The Foundation Life (NZ) Limited Fair Conduct Program
Foundation Life is dedicated to ensuring we deliver good and fair service to all of our customers. How we do this is detailed in our Fair Conduct Program (FCP), which was reviewed by the Financial Markets Authority (FMA), as part of our application for a Financial Institution Licence under Section 396 of the Financial Markets Conduct (CoFI) Act 2013. That licence was issued by the FMA on 18 November 2024 and will become effective from 31 March 2025.
A summary of our FCP can be accessed below. Within it you will find details of the key policies, processes, systems and controls Foundation Life has in place to support fair treatment of its customers, including:
- Our Governance and Management of the FCP.
- How we meet our legal obligations to our customers.
- How we review the products and services we provide to our customers.
- The ways we monitor, manage and train our staff in relation to fair treatment of our customers.
- The management of customer dissatisfaction and complaints.
Foundation Life’s "First Fundamental Value", as recorded in our Code of Ethics Policy, is ʺCommitment to our customers, putting them first and providing them with good service.ʺ
That value is reflected in and remains of paramount importance to our FCP.
Within the Key Matters Summary, all references to “The Scheme" relate to Foundation Life’s proposed product restructure of Whole of Life and Endowment policies.
